Dr Buenaventura Coroleu, Director of the Reproductive Medicine Service of Dexeus Mujer, stated that it is an absolute honour to receive such an award, not only because it has been awarded by other professionals who thoroughly know the speciality, but also because it was granted to the whole care team, “as the success of this service lies in a team work, performed in coordination, and in which take part the biologists of the laboratories of Cryopreservation, Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis, Andrology and In Vitro fecundation (IVF), as well as those working on our Egg Donation program, the medical staff, the nurses and the administration staff, who is taking care of national and international patients”.
As explained by Dr Pedro N. Barri, Director of Dexeus Mujer, “since many years our centre has been a reference in women’s health sector, that’s why one of our main objectives has always been to offer a high quality service and all innovations and medical and technological advances that have been produced in assisted reproduction area, as demonstrated by our extensive achievements background”. “For this reason, a significant part of our patients, approximately 25%, is represented by women with fertility problems who could not succeed in other centres. Nevertheless, we keep on maintaining our success rate of pregnancies and baby born, due to the high professionalism of our team, as well as the accumulated experience in dealing and managing these problems”.
Founded more than 40 years ago, in 1976, the Reproductive Medicine Service of Dexeus Mujer has been a pioneer in Spain in all kind of assisted reproduction treatments (in 1984 the first baby in Spain conceived through an IVF was born).
