Re-evaluating success in ART: The role of ovarian stimulation in increasing cumulative live birth rates in IVF

Prof Nikolaos Polyzos, Clinical and Scientific Director of the Service of Reproductive Medicine of Dexeus Women’s Health, gave a keynote lecture in the MSD symposium entitled “Re-evaluating success in ART: Useful measures in optimizing patient outcomes” along with other key opinion leaders in the field.

In his lecture he provided evidence regarding the role of ovarian stimulation in increasing cumulative live birth rates in infertile women undergoing IVF/ICSI. By presenting evidence from recent large multicentre studies in Europe, Prof Polyzos showed that an increase in the number of oocytes retrieved can significantly increase cumulative live births rates in women seeking infertility treatment.
